Texas Auto Repair with Caliber Auto Care

Complimentary water, offer rides home and even to work if in the area. Got a basic oil change. Nothing special. They did it quickly for just a walk in. Have more issues I want to take care of later when I have the money such as back window fix on my convertible. Engine light, breaks replaced, air bag light, and possibly get new tires because the tread seems to be out. (I skidded just putting my foot on the gas peddle a little too quickly.) They said they could take a look at my car if I dropped it off in the morning, but hearing from another customer there is like an 109$ service fee or whatever and with all those other issues I'm sure it won't be cheap to fix.

I called another location first and when asking for directions, he explained there was a closer location. I visited this location after leaving Fred Haas where I had been one time before. Fred Haas took 6 hours for my "Express" oil change with an appointment. I spoke with another lady that had waited 9 hours. It was absolutely ridiculous. I walked in with no appointment on a Saturday and was out in 2 hours. It was crowded; but, the experience and staff were very pleasant. I am done with dealerships and no matter what coupons the dealerships send, I won't be returning. I also had a poor experience at Don McGill Toyota in Katy, although Don McGill at Kirkwood was a good experience. At the Katy location, they didn't even fix what I came in for. At Fred Haas, they had changed my tires when I came in for an oil change! They also had my phone number wrong and name wrong so they couldn't find me at first in their system. This was the third visit to Fred Haas, never again!! The waiting room had a tv, comfortable chairs and ipads for customer use. They also gave me the wifi information so I could use my phone. It was a quite painless experience and I will definitely be coming back, even if it's a little drive from my house!

I echo the other reviews on these guys. I had been going to one of their competitors just down the street for nearly ten years. After spending more than $15k on 5 different vehicles in that time, I finally said enough after one particularly appalling repair job on my front suspension that they refused to make right. I thought I would give Service First a shot. I have used them three times now and I have been very pleased with their service and their attitude. They don't treat me like an idiot when it comes to cars and they don't try to snow me. I am a pretty competent DIYer and I do most of my own auto repairs that don't require special tools or a lift. I know how much parts should cost and I know how much effort is involved with car repairs, so I know they are not ripping me off. They are more than fair and they have even worked with me to lower the cost when I would accept less than OEM parts on an older car (at MY risk - I understand that.). These guys have earned my business for good!

This company cares about its customers and goes the extra mile to take care of them. After a discrepancy, they worked really hard to make things better and right for us.

Came here first time for just an oil change. Despite coming in 15 min before closing and they were all very welcoming. Technicians checked my brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid and other components of my engine without extra charge and without asking and even walked inside to show me. Excellent service all the way around. To top it off they vacuumed car floors(they've been neglected) and as a bonus the technician folded & strapped my sun shade! Waited 37 minutes, wasn't bad at all considering everything they checked. Also they offer a free car wash with all services. In short, I will be back because of the service I received.

The only place I will come with kids. The service crew has gone above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. On one occasion they took my car and got it washed and vacuumed for me (I have three kids four and under). Today the wait was a little longer than expected so they ran to sonic for me and got some food for my kids for free. One of the only car places I have felt I am never being lied to. Prices might be a little more than other places, but it is worth every penny.

My side window unexpectedly fell and I had to get it fixed right away. I went in knowing nothing about the company except that I drive by it to get home. The business itself was clean and everyone there was extremely courteous. They even have a "sock zone" for kids to play in while their parents wait. They assured me that they would have my car done by the end of the business day. I had my two young children with me and it was lunch time. They offered to take me home in my car due to the car seats and then brought my car back to be fixed. They called an hour later to tell me the diagnosis and price. I gave them the go ahead and by 4:30 in the afternoon, they delivered my car to me at my home. What exceptional service. I will go to them from now on when I need work done!

I came in to get my spark plugs changed and discovered that the plugs that are recommended are smaller than the ones that are actually needed. They went to the Mercedes dealership and got the right ones which cost more. They only charged me for the price of the smaller plugs... Awesome to say the least.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I had been driving around for the last couple months with no a/c in my 2004 Toyota and was ready to take it in to the dealership. I live solo out here in Texas and am always weary when I have to have anything done to my car because, let's face it, mechanics aren't really known for their trustworthiness. Enter Service First. I called a different location because they had gotten great reviews on Yelp! (thank God for Yelp!, btw), but they couldn't accommodate me because of my limited time availability so the gentleman referred me to this location. I hadn't seen any raving reviews on this Tomball location so I was a little hesitant. He assured me that they were owned by the same people and they have the same service first mentality. Aaron was extremely helpful and honest on the phone and told me to call the following morning so he could tell me if he could get me in and how long it would take to get my a/c issues diagnosed. Before I even got there, they told me all the possible scenarios and gave me a minimum price which sounded fair. Once there, they knew who I was when I walked in, and they kept me updated the entire time I waited (their waiting area was very comfortable too) on how much longer, what they were doing, etc. Chris told me about some other work that needs to be done on my car (regular up-keep stuff but major nonetheless). He gave me a quote on the work and left it in the system in case I decided to use them for that service in the future. When all was said and done in the a/c, I completely trusted their diagnosis and their work and Chris even asked me to bring it back in in a couple weeks just so they could be sure that the freon wasn't leaking and everything looked OK. There were no hidden agendas here, no price gouging, just honest to goodness, hard-working guys who care about service first! I felt as though I was dealing with friends - people I've been dealing with for a while. It was very comforting and I didn't feel so darn vulnerable! Greatest thing is, they REALLY helped me out in a way that was so unexpected and so unheard of. Let's just say it's nice to know that someone's word is mutually binding enough. As long as I'm in Texas, I will only come to them for any auto repair needs I have, and I will refer anyone I know to them. I've already referred a few friends their way... Thanks Chris and Aaron!! Kudos.

Mike to the rescue again. Overheating engine fixed with a small tap on the electric cooling fan on the radiator - full disclosure - was told no guarantee it won't permanently go out but it works for now. Did recommend getting it replaced, but for now a Easy remedy with no charge (other results may vary) - full disclosure again I had a lot of work done with the cooling recently so they were able to diagnose problem quickly. Anyways always believe these guys when they say they will not charge you for work that doesn't need to be done. This time and the last when asked if the hoses needed to be replaced. Very professional and a good example of you get what you pay, in a good way, in a saturated auto service market. Oh and he offered to send a tow truck if my vehicle didn't make it there.
